Roblox xbox one text chat. Just updated my game to be on xbox. I havent played many games but ive noticed that chat is disabled. I disabled the games messaging app to be on the safe side but since roleplaying is a big part of rocitizens people will probably want to be able to chat however inconvenient it may be. So my question is are we allowed to have custom chat or written communication of any kind on xbox.
Xbox uses voice chat party chat. There is no text chat in roblox on xbox one. It was removed awhile back. You guys know that people want chat back in roblox but wont bring it back.
Im sure you guys know that less people have been playing since making that dumb decision. To start chatting press the key on your keyboard. This will open up the chat window if enabled by the developer and a chat bar where you can type what you would like to say. Once you have entered your text into that bar hit enter on your keyboard to send it.
Roblox on xbox was never supposed to have text chat and it was removed from the few games that had it so they could keep their child rating on the xbox. The cursor dissappearing is just a bug. Im receiving reports that players on xbox are no longer able to send text chat messages in games presumably because canuserchatasync is now always returning false for these users. Theyre also not able to use other features which accept custom text input.
A player sent in this screenshot theyve always been able to chat on xbox in the past but suddenly theyre unable to do so. Account owners have the ability to limit or disable who can chat with them both in app or in game who can send them messages and who can follow them into games or invite them to private servers. Roblox is ushering in the next generation of entertainment. Imagine create and play together with millions of players across an infinite variety of immersive user generated 3d worlds.
